Yesaya 17:4-7

17:4 “At that time ¹ 

Jacob’s splendor will be greatly diminished, ² 

and he will become skin and bones. ³ 

17:5 It will be as when one gathers the grain harvest,

and his hand gleans the ear of grain.

It will be like one gathering the ears of grain

in the Valley of Rephaim.

17:6 There will be some left behind,

like when an olive tree is beaten –

two or three ripe olives remain toward the very top,

four or five on its fruitful branches,”

says the Lord God of Israel.

17:7 At that time ⁴  men will trust in their creator; ⁵ 

they will depend on ⁶  the Holy One of Israel. ⁷

30:20 The sovereign master ⁸  will give you distress to eat

and suffering to drink; ⁹ 

but your teachers will no longer be hidden;

your eyes will see them. ¹⁰

[30:20]  ¹⁰ tn Heb “but your teachers will no longer be hidden, your eyes will be seeing your teachers.” The translation assumes that the form מוֹרֶיךָ (morekha) is a plural participle, referring to spiritual leaders such as prophets and priests. Another possibility is that the form is actually singular (see GKC 273-74 §93.ss) or a plural of respect, referring to God as the master teacher. See HALOT 560-61 s.v. III מוֹרֶה.
